
Wang Chong'e is a native of Changwai Village, Huyu Township, Dai County, Shanxi Province.
She is a senior arts and crafts artist, a Sanjin technician, a Intangible cultural heritage bearers, a master of arts and crafts, a mentor of women's entrepreneurship, one of the "Ten Sisters of Jin Embroidery", the secretary-general of Shanxi Arts and Crafts Union, and a member of Shanxi Arts and Crafts Association. She is also an economist, an entrepreneurial innovation women star, a great national craftsman, and a women's model. She is a member of Shanxi Arts and Crafts Association. She specialises in "fabric arts", "embroidery", "netting" and "beading". She has written three kinds of teaching materials and published papers in provincial newspapers and journals. Has developed 35 categories, more than 7,000 patterns, more than 3,500 pieces of work. The works "Baby Set" and "Flying Bird Playing Zodiac Bib" won the 15th "Hundred Flowers Award" and the 51st "Golden Phoenix Award" in China respectively. "The "Twelve Zodiac Hats" won the silver medal of the first "Sanjin Qiaojie" Handicraft Competition in 2014. The "Eight Scenes of Yanmen" won the Best Technique Award. The "Ten Perfections" won the Silver Prize at the 15th International Expo and the First Prize at the Provincial Vocational Skills Competition in 2020. The works are handmade, with exquisite texture, many varieties, fresh styles, complex stitches, rich colours, beautiful meanings and vivid images, which are both practical and of artistic value.
In 2008, Wang Chong'e founded the Daixian Embroidery Dream Pavilion Crafts Co-operative, whose aim is to pass on skills and teach, and to improve artistic taste and the quality of life of the people. Over the years, more than 8,000 people have been trained offline for poor households, disabled people and folk craft enthusiasts, and tens of thousands of people have been trained online, adopting the principle of linking theory to practice, centralised teaching and decentralised instruction, which has greatly enhanced people's artistic skills and their ability to become rich. More than 100 people have been engaged in folk craft production, quite profitable, walking on the avenue of poverty alleviation and wealth abound. Enriching the cultural life of the masses, strengthening the development of fabric arts and increasing people's income is our common wish.
